Ajang Academy Awards ke-96 sukses diadakan di Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles pada Minggu (10/3) waktu setempat. Dipandu oleh host ternama, Jimmy Kimmel, acara penghargaan film tahunan terbesar ini dihadiri oleh figur ternama di industri seni peran dan juga para anggota The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
Dalam perhelatan Academy Awards kali ini, film besutan sutradara Christopher Nolan, “Oppenheimer”, berhasil meraih 7 piala dari total 13 nominasi, termasuk “Best Picture” dan “Best Actor in a Leading Role”.
Selain “Oppenheimer”, sejumlah film unggulan seperti “Barbie” juga sukses menang di kategori “Best Original Song” dan film karya Yorgos Lanthimos, “Poor Things”, berhasil meraih piala empat kategori seperti “Best Actress in a Leading Role” dan “Best Costume Design”.
